18

So it's been just under two months since I last posted; I love my blog, but when I'm busy it does become neglected- hence what has happened it the past couple of months. I've had so much going on that I haven't had a chance to write a blog post.

If you follow me on instagram you will have probably guessed from numerous (and slightly obnoxious) posts that I turned 18 in November, and a couple of weeks ago one of my best friends and I threw a party to celebrate our birthdays. I thought I'd show you guys what I wore as if you know me, you'd know that I'm incredibly picky and my dress took months of trawling the shops, and scrolling threw websites to find. In the end I opted for a nude dress embellished with sequins and beads, as being at the start of December our party was Winter Wonderland themed, and I wanted to incorporate that vibe into my outfit. The dress wasn't something I'd usually go for as nude just isn't something I wear, however looking back on the photos I'm really pleased I chose something out my comfort zone!

The dress is from Missguided and happened to be one of the last websites I looked at, as Missguided isn't a regularly place I shop. Originally it had a choker and plunging neckline however I had it altered to remove the choker and raise the neckline. Because the dress it such a statement I kept the rest of my look simple with a pair of silver barely there heels from River Island, and for jewellery I wore a pair of of silver drop earrings, and my everyday silver ring both from Pandora.

With Malarkey (DJ) wearing- Missguided (dress) and River island (heels)

I'm pleased to say the evening was a success and both my friend and I had an amazing time! It's weird to think that I'm now considered an 'official adult', however I'm at an exciting time and I can't wait to see what's to come

My View- The Sanderson Afternoon Tea

High Tea, Afternoon Tea, Cream Tea whatever you like to call it, I usually find they're all pretty much the same.

However last week I visited The Sanderson London for the 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' which is their tribute to the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland; I can vouch it was a tea experience like the no other.

Cocktails were given on arrival, and then we were shown into what has to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing gardens in West London.

Firstly we were given the choice of teas- being a coffee drinker I wasn't too excited by the thought of tea, yet I opted for the 'Mad Hatter' which was green tea infused with passion fruit, guava and mango, and it was surprisingly delicious.

We were then brought out the savoury plates which consisted of cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches on lime bread, a cornish crab and herb eclair, a ham and smoked cheese croque-monsieur and a smoked salmon, quail egg and caviar scotch egg. All were as tasty as they sound, and I'm not ashamed to say I did have seconds.

After that, we were brought out the sweet plates, which is always what I look forward to most at afternoon tea! I wasn't disappointed with there being a fab selection including 'the blue caterpillar' which was a rich chocolatey fudge finger, 'magic marshmallow mushrooms', a carrot flavoured meringue, coffee macaroons, red velvet ladybirds, banana bread and butterfly, Oreo cookie soldiers, Alices drink me potion which was a passion fruit jelly layered with a coconut panacotta and topped with lemon curd, and of course scones with jam and clotted cream.

And to finish off an amazing tea, a passion fruit and blackberry sorbet topped with a chocolate crumb.

The Mad Hatters tea party is just what you need from afternoon tea- fun, relaxed and most importantly delicious!

If you're in or around West London I seriously recommend checking it out- just make sure to book before hand!

London Fashion week '16

London Fashion Week is always one of my favourite weeks of the year- the vibe around London is crazy and you're always bound to see someone in an amazing outfit.

England being England meant that I had to change my outfit last minute due to a change in the weather, so I opted for something comfortable yet chic as I knew I'd be busy all day.

I went for an all black outfit as to be completely honest I had no clue what to wear, and if I'm ever in doubt black always seems to work whatever the occasion! I wore a black ribbed cami top from Topshop, with a pair of black skinny jeans from Mango

I paired my all black assemble with a quilted khaki bomber which I'm in love with at the moment, and this is from Zara. Then on my feet I wore a pair of chunky white sneakers with leopard print detailing, to help make the outfit slightly more interesting, also from Zara

For accessories I wore a skinny black velvet choker to help tie the all black outfit together from Topshop, and for sunglasses I chose to wear these black cat eye ones from Zaful

Autumns arrived

I always know autumns arrived when black and khaki start making their way into my outfits. Today I just popped out to meet some friends for lunch so I wanted to keep my outfit simple and chic. I went for a pair of skinny white jeans paired with a khaki ribbed top- both from Zara. As the weather wasn't great I took a jacket, and opted for this black leather one also from Zara. On my feet I wore a pair of pony hair slippers from Dune- I kept the rest of my outfit rather plain as these are definitely the main focal point. And for accessories I wore a rope choker which I purchased from Brandy Melville, but you can get them pretty much anywhere at the moment.

Much love
